Foods to Avoid
One of the biggest killers of our time is heart disease. A frightening fact is that half of all men will die from it. We need to be careful with what we eat.
We should pay attention to our health and diet, particularly with what you eat. Below is a list of some items that should be avoided. I am sure there are some items below that you would have never imagined being bad for your health.
Solid oils
This is extremely bad for your health. It has a long shelf life and people use it instead of lard. It is wrongly presumed to be less healthy than lard.

Deep fried food
You should avoid this at all costs. There are rumours that eating deep fried food can bring about DNA changes. It has been shown in medical research that there is a link between cancer and deep fried food.
Refined flour
You can add to this store bought flour too. Refined flour has been bleached among other procedures that have been done to it. You should use whole-wheat flour, as this is a much healthier alternative as all the nutrition has been removed from refined flour.
White rice
Another food that really should never be consumed. It is much better to use whole-wheat brown rice. You can try mixing it with white rice to begin with if you find it difficult to get used to the taste.
Sugar
You should keep your consumption of sugar down to a bare minimum. It contains fructose, which can raise your cholesterol if you consume too much.
Canned soup
These are full of salt. If you really must have them look out for the low salt varieties. You could have a look in your local deli to see if they make them, as these are bound to have a much lower salt percentage. You could even make your own, they are easy to prepare and the recipes are simple to follow.
Alfredo sauces
They contain too much salt and butter.
Processed meats
These should be avoided if you can, as they almost always are high in sugar and fat.
Hydrogenated palm oils
Another ingredient to avoid at all costs. Too much of this and you're a heart attack waiting to happen.
You must avoid this at all costs, you will likely have a heart attack if you consume too much of this.
Lunchables
It is not a good idea to give these to your kids, as they are loaded with fats and salt. It is better to look for healthier option.
Although talking about your bowel movements is not a nice topic of discussion it is important that we mention it. As we all know, what goes in one end must come out the other.
You can check how good your diet is simply by checking your stool. If it floats for example, then this is a sign of a healthy diet. However if it sinks then you are consuming too much fat and should really look to change your diet.
